The Conference of Partners of the French Muskoka Fund took place on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 in Cotonou, Benin. This event aims to promote universal health coverage for all mothers, newborns, youth and adolescents.

The official ceremony of the partner conference of the French Muskoka Fund is organized to strengthen the resilience of health systems. “Halfway through the French Muskoka Fund, our health systems are facing funding challenges and security crises, accentuating the marginalization of certain categories of people. Despite the commitment of national governments, the contribution of partners is decisive. Strengthening the integration of services and focusing on prevention and early interventions are essential for effective universal health coverage,” said the Minister of Health of Benin, Professor Benjamin Hounkpatin

Speakers welcomed the progress made in the area of maternal and child health, while recognizing the ongoing challenges.
