The Director General of the National Tourism Agency, Folorunsho Coker, announced the collaboration between ECOWAS states to develop the tourism sector in order to compete with other regions. It was during his speech at the opening ceremony of the meeting of experts and actors from the private tourism industry on the monitoring and evaluation mechanism of ECOTOUR 19-29 and the ECOWAS tourist accommodation regulator on Tuesday in Abuja

The Director General of the National Tourism Agency indicated that it is in a spirit of collaboration that pan-African tourism will be developed. He advised that all regulations in the region be streamlined into one that will guide tourism sector activities in the 15 ECOWAS member states.
