In reality, the member states of UEMOA are facing colossal financing needs in terms of climate change adaptation and mitigation. According to Yaovi Kogbe, a specialist in environmental and climate finance at the BOAD , the financing needs of UEMOA states are estimated at around 100 billion dollars
