Le On 22 May, the Council of Ministers adopted three decrees, each awarding a mining research permit in Côte d'Ivoire.

Les permits relate to gold and lithium. They once again illustrate the commitment of the Ivorian government to maintain, or even increase, its gold production in the years to come, while diversifying the local mining sector. The companies K Mining SARL and Glory Gold Ressources SARL each obtained a permit to search for gold, respectively in the departments of Toumodi, Yamoussoukro and Oumé, on the one hand, and in the departments of Tiassalé, Grand-Lahou and Divo, respectively, and in the departments of Tiassalé, Grand-Lahou and Divo, on the other hand. The lithium research permit covers the department of Agboville and was awarded to Khaleesi Resources SARL. All of these permits are valid for four years. The Ivorian government has thus been awarding more permits for lithium exploration in recent years, in the hope of an important discovery that could make the country a lithium producer
