The visit, which will take place over 8 days from 4 to 10 July, aims to strengthen the partnership between Côte d'Ivoire and the World Bank Group, a key player in the International Development Association (IDA). Discussions will focus on the development of human capital, the improvement of agricultural value chains, the acceleration of universal access to electricity, water and sanitation, as well as the challenges of climate change. During her stay, Diagana will meet with the Ivorian authorities to discuss the preparation of the new national development plan, which will define World Bank support and align its efforts with national priorities for inclusive
and sustainable development.Also, the Vice President of the World Bank will also chair a round table on the financing of climate actions alongside the Vice President, Tiémoko Meyliet Koné and the Deputy Director General of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Boli, and the Deputy Director General of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Boli. In addition, he will co-chair with the Prime Minister, Minister of Sports and Living Environment, Beugré Mambé, a round table bringing together donors, private sector and government, focused on food self-sufficiency and the rice value chain. He will also visit the activities of the cashew value chain, a sector in which Côte d'Ivoire has achieved remarkable success thanks to the support of the World Bank.
