Goviex announced in a statement that it had been “informed by the Government of the Republic of Niger, by a letter from the Ministry of Mines, that it no longer has rights to the perimeter of the Madaouéla mining license, which is now in the public domain”. The perimeter concerned covers an area of more than 243 km2. GoviEx deplores that the “decision to withdraw (him)” his rights “does not follow the procedure dictated by the mining code in force” and “reserves the right to question” this decision “before competent national or international courts
