The Director of Commitments at IB Bank Togo (ex-BTCI) announced on his LinkedIn page that IB Bank Togo (ex-BTCI) achieved a net profit of more than 3 billion CFA francs after years of turbulence, a significant recovery compared to the 8.8 billion loss of the previous year.

The state maintains a 10% stake, while IB Holding owns the remaining 90%. The transaction, concluded by Mahamadou Bonkoungou, construction magnate and boss of IB Holding, was supposed to redraw the contours of the institution and strengthen its foundations. According to the bank's financial statements, the bank's assets had climbed from 292 to 418 billion CFA francs, despite the storms. This increase was mainly fuelled by a doubling of customer claims, which amounted to 250 billion FCFA compared to only 111 billion FCFA in 2021
