BOA Niger recently announced an increase of 7,800 billion CFA francs in its capital by incorporating bonuses and reserves at an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to be held on August 20, 2024.

Les responsables de la BOA Niger veulent à travers cette décision d' augmentation de capital se conformer à l' avis N° 001-01-2024 du 5 janvier 2024 du gouverneur de la Central Bank of the States of West Africa (BCEAO) setting the minimum share capital of banks and financial credit institutions in the member states of the West African Monetary Union (UMOA). Thus, if the AGE authorizes the increase in capital, it will increase from a current amount of 13 billion CFA francs to 20,800 billion CFA francs by including in said capital all the premiums related to capital for an amount of 194,500,000 FCFA and a portion of the optional reserves for an amount of 7,605,500,000 FCFA. 7,800,000 new shares, with a nominal value of 1,000 CFA francs each, will be issued free of charge to shareholders at the rate of three new shares for five old shares
