The pan-African bank Ecobank announced the finalists of the first hybrid semi-final of the Ecobank Fintech Challenge 2024, which took place at the Ecobank Pan African Center in Lagos, Nigeria.

There are 12 fintechs who will represent the future of African fintech at the Grand Final of the Ecobank Fintech Challenge. The Ecobank Fintech Challenge 2024 attracted over 1,550 applications from 70 countries in Africa and other regions around the world. The finalists will present their innovative solutions during the Challenge Grand Final, scheduled for September 27, 2024, at the Ecobank Pan African Center in Lomé, Togo. During the Semi-Final, Ecobank Group CEO Jeremy Awori said that “this year's finalists in the Ecobank Fintech Challenge have demonstrated exceptional talent and innovation; and we look forward to welcoming them to the Final. At Ecobank, we are committed to working with these business builders to develop products and services that will benefit our customers and contribute to the progress of our continent

In fact, 60 fintech startups have been integrated into the Ecobank Fintech Grant Program since its inception.
