The next African Energy Week (AEW) conference will host a summit dedicated to energy financing this year in partnership with Afreximbank and market intelligence firm S&P Global Commodity Insights.

“Investing in African Energy 2024" is the theme of the upcoming AEW 2024 conference. During the forum, a series of sessions will present the latest commitments from major financial institutions. According to a statement, the meeting also includes a session on financing energy infrastructure that will focus on mobilizing additional public and private finance for large-scale energy infrastructure projects, in order to improve access to energy and support the continent's sustainable development goals. The Energy Finance Summit will also include a session on financing new energies in Africa, which will address the opportunities and challenges associated with renewable energy projects in a context of high interest rates and regulatory hurdles
