The AfriCircular Innovators program aims to support innovative circular economy solutions that promote sustainable and inclusive growth. It is supported by the African Circular Economy Facility (ACEF) of BAD and implemented in partnership with the African Circular Economy Alliance (ACEA). To complete the implementation of this program, the companies selected will receive support to develop their circular initiatives in the five strategic sectors (“big bets”) identified by ACEA for their high potential for job creation and economic growth. These include the packaging, food systems, built environment, electronics, fashion, and textile sectors.

It should be noted that micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) represent 80% of African businesses, while the circular economy in Africa has the potential to generate 11 million jobs.
