NedBank Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) announced that it has finalized an innovative loan of 12 billion FCFA in favor of the Cosmos shopping center in Yopougon.

The financing granted by Nedbank CIB is linked to sustainability. It consolidates the position of Cosmos Yopougon style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style”, "serif">as a reference for sustainable retail in West Africa and reflects the shared commitment of the two companies in favor of environmental sustainability and responsible finance. The loan is structured to encourage continuous improvement in the environmental performance of the mall, with a particular focus on waste management. According to Sanankoua Cheick Abou, managing partner of HC Capital Properties, “cosmos Yopougon is committed to advancing its sustainability strategy by implementing recycling programs for cardboard, plastic and construction waste. This sustainability-linked facility demonstrates our commitment to reducing our environmental impact and promoting sustainable practices in the commercial real estate sector, while creating sustainable returns for our stakeholders.”
