The intensive training that took place from Monday to Tuesday was part of a global approach by HAPLUCIA aimed at raising awareness among all actors involved in public procurement, from civil society to judicial actors. The participants increased their knowledge on the transparency of procedures and the equal treatment of tenderers. The objective of this training is to strengthen their knowledge of legal texts and to equip them to effectively prevent and combat corrupt practices in public procurement. According to Aba Kimelabalou, president of HAPLUCIA, “the lack of knowledge of texts is often the source of corrupt practices”. By strengthening the skills of public procurement managers, the institution hopes not only to reduce the risks of corruption but also to improve the quality of public services and to strengthen citizens' trust in institutions. According to the president, “the agents responsible for managing public contracts are on the front line in the face of corruption.”
