The Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (Arcop) has announced an international workshop scheduled for October 14 to 18 on sustainable public procurement (APD). The training is organized in partnership with the Banque mondiale .

The international workshop is the second of its kind since the beginning of the year and will see the participation of public procurement experts from 14 countries in West and Central Africa, according to information from Arcop. According to the document, Arcop is experimenting with two flagship programmes in the fields of ODA, including women's access to public procurement and the strengthening of the employability of young people in the context of the fight against unemployment. It should be noted that, during the training workshop organized in July 2024 with experts from 16 other African countries, the Director General of Arcop, Saer Niang, welcomed the support of the Banque mondiale and the States, which for the most part, have all adhered to the objectives of the D& sustainable development including axis 12 which urges us to buy differently.

According to the latter, axis 12 recognizes the desire to promote sustainable public procurement (ODA) as a tool to combat the harmful effects of climate change using public procurement as a lever.
