The CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) announced that the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) is collaborating with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to modernize its delivery platform of services.

La modernisation de la plateforme de services vise à permettre à the authority to use artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to analyze the data of the approximately 400 000 economic establishments under its jurisdiction, which are among the 6 million largest economic establishments in Egypt. The aim is to develop short and long-term solutions and strategies that will improve the investment climate in Egypt. According to Heiba, the country is facing intense competition to attract new investments, especially in the evolving fields of digitalization and information technology. He also emphasized the need for continuous updates to investment systems, procedures and legislation to keep pace with changes in the sector.
