This funding will support the efforts of the Senegalese government in the fight against corruption and the promotion of transparency. For its part, the Senegalese presidency announced in a document that “this support will also strengthen ongoing institutional reforms for better governance.” The United States also said it was ready to support Senegal in its efforts to reform and improve governance.
