Dans le cadre de l' accord de la African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA): Rwanda shipped on Wednesday September 25, 2024, its first consolidated shipment of agricultural exports to Ghana.

The ceremony to launch Rwanda's first agricultural exports took place at Kigali International Airport. It highlighted Rwanda's growing participation in the AfCFTA, a trade initiative aimed at encouraging intra-African trade and economic growth. According to Prudence Sebahizi, Rwandan Minister of Commerce and Industry, “this first shipment of agricultural products for export to Ghana will open the doors of the AfCFTA market to the private sector. This is a great initiative that will allow local businesses in Rwanda to trade across Africa.”
