Two new entities are born from the merger between Allianz and Sanlam. It is SanlaMallianz Cameroun Assurances, which operates in the damage sector. It is managed by Olivier Malatre. The second entity is SanlaMallianz Cameroun Assurances Vie, managed by Laya Sidibé. SanlaMallianz now has a turnover of more than 51 billion FCFA on the Cameroonian insurance market (including more than 26 billion FCFA for SanlaMallianz Cameroun Assurances Vie), referring to data for the year 2023. According to Heinie Werth, the CEO of SanlaMallianz, “the insurance market in Cameroon is booming, with a growing demand for more diversified services and personalized solutions. The merger between Sanlam and Allianz meets this demand, by combining the strengths of two leaders in the sector. Sanlam, with its in-depth knowledge of the African market, and Allianz, with its global expertise and technological innovations, are creating a synergy that will greatly benefit the Cameroonian population
