Le Togo met en place un vaste programme de modernisation de ses infrastructures, which extend to roads, the port of Lomé and airport development initiatives. At the end of the work, the country will see its competitiveness improve regionally

and attract more foreign investors.

Le Togo est en plein mutation vers leading logistics hub in West Africa. The country has a road network that extends over 11,777 kilometers, including 2101 kilometers of paved national roads and 1473 kilometers of urban roads. In addition to these infrastructures, there are 1294 kilometers of unpaved national roads and 6802 kilometers of rural roads, essential for

opening up remote areas.

Also, it has the port of Lomé inaugurated in 1968, which occupies a central place in the development of its economy, thanks to its strategic position. This port platform is the only deep-water port on the West African coast and can accommodate third-generation ships. The country is also crossed by three sub-regional road corridors that play a central role in its trade with its neighbors. This is the economic corridor, Lomé-Ouagadougou-Niamey, crossing the country for 746 kilometers, constitutes the main axis, the Lomé-Hillacondji corridor, and the Abidjan-Lagos axis.
To support the development of its port network and ease congestion in the autonomous port of Lomé, Togo relies on the dry port of the Adétikopé Industrial Platform (PIA), operational since January 2022, which extends over 20 hectares. It can accommodate up to 12,500 containers and plays a strategic role in facilitating the transit of goods to landlocked countries served by the port of Lomé. It is located 27 kilometers north of the capital, along the Lomé-Ouagadougou-Niamey corridor and also has a car park with a capacity of around 800 trucks.
