Les 6 et 8 mai 2025, l' African Trade & Investment Development Insurance (ATIDI) is organizing two workshops on the theme “mitigating risks related to trade and investment in Africa.” The two workshops are held in Yaoundé and Douala respectively

The aim of the workshops in Yaoundé and Douala is “to raise awareness among economic actors, both in the public and private sectors, on the opportunities offered by ATIDI in terms of trade finance, financial risk management and the promotion of development in Africa.”

The managing director of ATIDI, Manuel Moses revealed yesterday, 6 May at the Yaoundé workshop that since Cameroon joined the African Trade & Investment Development Insurance (ATIDI) in 2021, approximately 224 million dollars in investments have been made in the country, thanks to the guarantees provided to investors by this pan-African structure specially focused on the insurance of political risks and risks related to investment and trade. To do this, this organization dedicated to securing investments and promoting development in Africa had to invest 45 million dollars, or about 26 billion FCFA

The Minister of Finance, Louis Paul Motazé, who opened the workshop on 6 May in Yaoundé, wanted the Central Africa office of this pan-African financial structure to be located in Cameroon.
