The economic crisis, the closure of borders and the suspension of international flights do not seem to affect the foreign exchange market. Currencies in Algeria continue to function, and the main European currencies trade at a high price against the dinar.

On May 3, 2021, prices are experiencing some rise. As for the single European currency, only one euro is exchanged by currency traders for 209 dinars on purchase. On sale, a single euro is exchanged for 211 dinars. The single European currency still remains above the symbolic mark of 200 Algerian dinars.
For its part, the US dollar, has risen today on the parallel market. Currency traders who exchange a single US dollar for 175 dinars, then sell it for 179 Algerian dinars.

Quant for the pound sterling, a pound is exchanged today for 229.50 dinars for purchase, and against 233 dinars for sale. The Canadian dollar sells for 129 Algerian dinars to buy, currency traders sell it for 133 dinars.
