The Commission of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) is officially launching the online platform of the Multilateral Surveillance Database (BDSM), this Wednesday, May 05, 2021, by videoconference.
 
In accordance with the new international recommendations on the development of economic and financial statistics, resulting from the updating of statistical systems, the Department of Economic Policies and Internal Taxation (DPE) of the WAEMU Commission has carried out an in-depth revision of the model of the Database Multilateral Surveillance (BDSM). It is an essential tool for the preparation of periodic reports on multilateral surveillance, but also for economic forecasting and analysis work. However, more generally, the PURPOSE OF THE BDSM is to provide statistics on various sectors of the EU economies.
In 2019, the WAEMU Commission initiated a project to set up an online platform for bdsm. This project has made it possible to move from the current "Excel" interface, under which the model of the BDSM of each country is presented, to a centralized web platform.
