On Tuesday, March 7, an International Economic Forum on Finance and Sustainable Development opened in Brussels, organized by Credassur Group, on the initiative of the municipality of Saint Josse Ten-Noode. It was in the council chamber of this municipality and in the presence of a large delegation of Congolese officials and Turkish operators.

In an opening speech, Esther Misheng Mbidi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Credassur Group, said that “the forum focuses on business contacts between Turkey and the Democratic Republic of Congo, with a view to fostering partnerships between companies from two countries.” The Director General of the DRC Insurance Regulatory and Supervision Authority (ARCA), Alain Kanida, in his speech addressed the liberalization of insurance in the DRC, ending 50 years of monopoly. He also focused on the establishment of the ARCA, which has been organizing this market for ten years and which has made it possible to earn significant dividends, from 100 million US dollars in 2019 to 280 million today.
