A large quantity of rice has been seized. The national anti-fraud coordinator, Dr. Yves Kafando, said that 1,641 50-kilogram bags of rice worth 47,743,000 CFA francs were seized during the operation. The operation consists, first of all, for the defendants to buy local rice, in particular rice produced in Kénédougou, Léraba and Comoé, and to bag in packages previously stamped with the mentions of imported rice. The second case of fraud concerns rice marked “forbidden sale”, intended for school canteens, i.e. rice obtained at “very reduced” costs thanks to the efforts of the government, is also transferred into pre-stamped bags in order to be able to sell them “cheerfully” on the market ;; denounced the coordinator
