.Le conseil d' administration du FMI a validé le immediate payment of $70 million to Niger about a month and a half after the Government of Niger and an IMF mission reached an agreement on periodic reviews of current assistance programs. This is the fourth and fifth review of the current assistance program, which is expected to result in the disbursement of $26.1 million. This agreement also covers the first review under the Resilience and Sustainability Fund, the IMF's long-term financing tool to finance the ecological transition and adaptation in emerging and developing countries, which would this time allow the payment of an additional $45.3 million
