The Senegalese capital will be hosting the Afreximbank Compliance Forum (ACF2024) for compliance professionals and specialists starting on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.

For three days, participants will discuss the topic “Better Compliance, Better Trade”. The ACF2024 forum is organized by the African Export-Import Bank, Afreximbank, in collaboration with the Intergovernmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA) ). The objective of regulators and various trade players will be to find solutions to reduce the impacts of the money laundering phenomenon in commerce, in order to really benefit from a significant portion of the resulting revenues. According to Afreximbank's Chief Compliance Officer, Idrissa Diop, “the Afreximbank Compliance Forum was designed to improve intra-African trade and support Africa's global trade with the rest of the world by aligning with international compliance standards in order to strengthen credibility and create secure global trade.” The Forum will also feature the presentation of the latest era technologies in terms of controlling money laundering, which today remains a major problem affecting the development of trade.
