The 1st edition of the Benin Veterinary Days (JVB) is scheduled to take place from September 26 to 28, 2024, at the Cotonou Convention Center. The event includes a focus on improving food safety and biosecurity

With the theme “the veterinarian, an essential health agent at the heart of the One Health approach”, the 1st edition of the JVB will welcome a series of participants from various backgrounds. The National Order of Veterinary Doctors of Benin (ONMVB) is working in a global context where nearly 60% of emerging diseases are of animal origin, and globally, 75% of emerging human diseases are zoonotic (Covid-19, Mpox, etc.), for the reduction, in particular in Benin, of the incidence of zoonoses (Covid-19, Mpox, etc.), for the reduction, in particular in Benin, of the incidence of zoonoses. According to the President of the ONMVB, Christian Dovonou, this initiative aims to improve the visibility of the essential role played by veterinarians in a One Health approach to reducing the incidence of
