The eleventh Forum on Statistical Development in Africa (FASDev) began on Monday, October 28, 2024 in Addis Ababa. It is about mobilizing technical and financial resources to support innovation in statistical development in Africa.

According to the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), the meeting aims to promote links between countries, partners and institutions that support statistics, in order to meet the needs of national statistical systems in terms of technical resources. and financial resources to accelerate the transformation and modernization of these systems. Indeed, the meeting based on the theme “strengthening the mobilization of technical and financial resources to support innovation in statistical development in Africa” will also make it possible to take stock of the difficulties facing countries, and identify the needs of national statistical systems to develop and implement transformation and modernization programs. Participants will also take stock of the opportunities and mechanisms offered by pan-African institutions, partners and organizations to support countries in their statistical development
