Since Wednesday, November 13, 2024, the Togolese capital has been home to a series of activities related to artificial intelligence. This three-day meeting bringing together experts, des chercheurs, des entrepreneurs et également des décideurs politiques a pour ambition de faire du Togo un major players in AI in Africa.

Plus de 300 participants, dont des membres de la Communauté Togolaise d' Intelligence Artificielle (CoTIA) have been chatting since yesterday on les latest advances in AI and explore its concrete applications in various sectors. During its three days, there will be workshops, panels, presentation sessions, plenary sessions and networking around topics related to AI and its applications. According to the Minister of Digital Economy and Digital Transformation, Cina Lawson, the Togolese government is considering integrating AI into the education system in order to improve the quality of education. In fact, putting AI at the heart of Togo's development strategy will allow the country to meet several challenges such as stimulating innovation, improving public services, creating new jobs and strengthening human capital. Thus, the country aims in particular to strengthen the country's commitment on the subject, and to continue to create a dynamic, inclusive and competitive digital ecosystem, capable of responding to current and future challenges by relying on technological innovations.

By organizing this high-level meeting, Togo is thus determined to play a leading role in the development of artificial intelligence in Africa.
