On Monday, February 04, the governor of Katsina State and chairman of the North-West Governors Forum, Dikko Umaru Radda, organized a meeting of the North-West Governors Forum with senior officials from the United Nations and the African Development Bank. The idea is to advance key development initiatives in the region.

Governor Radda said that “the members of the forum agreed to continue rapid and high-impact interventions in the areas of social protection, education, food security and climate change adaptation.” For the governor, the forum is being held on the eve of the implementation of this program, which will address agricultural development and the improvement of the value chain in the region

Radda also announced that discussions with the ADB focused on strategies for implementing phase 2 of Special Agro-Industrial Zones (SAPZ) and the livestock development plan for the region, noting that “while the first phase included the states of Kaduna and Kano, the five states in the Northwest will be the beneficiaries of the second phase”. Governor Radda concluded by affirming the Forum's support for the initiatives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style”, serif">, declaring that “all the governors of the North-West states support the efforts of Mr. Le Pré” President and his initiatives to ensure the economic prosperity of our country, Nigeria.”
