Find all the economic and financial information on our Orishas Direct application to download on Play StoreThe Société de Garantie du Gabon (SGG) and the African Guarantee Fund (AGF) have strengthened their collaboration through a counter-guarantee agreement of 6 billion FCFA. The signing took place in Nairobi, Kenya, on February 4.
The agreement will allow SGG to increase its intervention capacity to increase the volume of loans granted by its partner banks and microfinance institutions. According to the director of SGG, Alban Etho Zue, “this agreement with AGF is much more than a simple financial lever: it embodies our ambition to transform and structure the Gabonese and sub-regional entrepreneurial landscape
.”It aims in particular to support women-led SMEs and green finance initiatives, thus contributing to more inclusive growth. For his part, Jules Ngankam, CEO of the AGF Group style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style”, serif"> indicates that this agreement represents a “major step that illustrates our commitment to supporting local initiatives and strengthening the financial ecosystem in Gabon”.
