The National Employers Council (Cnp) and Medef International organized a Franco-Senegalese business forum on February 19, 2025 in Dakar.

Medef international moved to Senegal for several reasons. The aim is to increase the flow of French private investment into the country; to promote business relationships between French and Senegalese business leaders; and to strengthen economic and financial cooperation between Medef and Cnp. The first vice-president of the Cnp, Mamadou Racine Sy said that “at the Cnp, we say that the future of Senegal is the party of the company. So here we are again meeting to strengthen our business partnership relationships and build an essential convergence of interests between French economic power and Senegalese economic power. I would say that today, no one is unaware that we are entering a new era where the world is dividing, rebuilding into new blocks, and inviting nations to face unprecedented challenges of economic sovereignty and national defense, but also of intolerance, discrimination and obscurantism
