The Minister for Grassroots Development, Financial Inclusion, Youth and Youth Employment, Mazamesso Assih officially launched on Monday, February 24, 2025 in Lomé a new financing mechanism for young people and women entrepreneurs.

Le Projet d' Accompagnement des Jeunes hommes et femmes entrepreneurs sur les chaînes de valeurs créatrices d' emplois (PAJEC), is designed to foster more inclusive growth and provide decent job opportunities. It has an envelope of 28 billion FCFA financed by the African Development Bank (BAD) and the Togolese State. The implementation of the program is entrusted to the Very Small, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (ADTME) for a period of five years. The PAJEC will be deployed in five economic regions of the country with an approach based on value chains in key sectors such as agribusiness, transport and logistics. It should respond to the major challenges that hinder the development of young entrepreneurs, especially in terms of access to finance and markets, and will target very small, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) engaged in the production of commercial goods and services.
