The National Office of Civil Status and Identification (ONECI) and the Banque de l'Habitat de Côte d'Ivoire (BHCI) have signed a partnership agreement for the establishment of VIP offices in the bank's branches, dedicated to enrolling and applying for the Card National Identity (CNI)

The agreement is part of a double dynamic such as improving the customer experience when opening an account and guaranteeing secure user authentication. Ago Christian Kodia, Director General of ONECI said that this agreement marks a major advance for the Ivorian administration. The latter believes that “the signing of this agreement between ONECI and the bank is a decisive turning point in the modernization of our services. It is a testament to our shared commitment to offering citizens practical and effective solutions.”

The collaboration between ONECI and BHCI is also based on the integration of digital technologies, in particular APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), which will make it possible to verify the authenticity of identification documents such as the CNI and the resident card. This innovation guarantees greater security against document fraud.

The bank will now be able to integrate ONECI databases into its identification procedures. This will facilitate the creation of bank accounts, the granting of mortgages and other financial transactions, while reducing the risks of fraud and identity theft
