Le changement d' identité is in line with the Group's vision of modernization and evolution, and was now necessary for several reasons. These are the need to build a pan-African reference group with a single identity; the obligation to part with the commercial names inherited from the previous banks purchased; the need for BACM to achieve the ambitious goals it had set for itself; and the desire to create a strong synergy between the subsidiary and the Group, and between the Banking division and the Insurance division.

According to Eric Valérie Zoa, CEO of AFG Bank Cameroon, “this transition to a new identity is a reflection of strengthened ambition and a vision looking to the future. This is a major turning point that allows us to better embody the dynamics of the AFG Group by consolidating our position as a major reference player in the Cameroonian banking market.” For Leon Konan Koffi, Group PCA, “this name change ceremony, as well as the visual identity is part of the vast strategic repositioning of the AFG Group in the financial banking sector... ”.
