.Security, regional integration and bilateral cooperation were on the table during discussions on Wednesday between Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana. The two heads of state discussed topics of common interest, in particular in the fields of defence, security, the cocoa economy, of which Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana are the world's largest producers, as well as mines and energy. President Ouattara said that they reaffirmed their common desire to support the Cocoa Côte d'Ivoire-Ghana Initiative and to strengthen cooperation in the fight against illegal gold mining.
