Le vendredi 21 mars 2025, Proparco and Coris Bank, a subsidiary of the Coris Bank International Chad group, have signed an agreement for a 7 million euros guarantee line.

Proparco is the branch of the French Development Agency dedicated to financing the private sector in developing countries. This partnership aims to strengthen Coris Bank's financing capacities for these categories of companies, in a context where access to finance remains a major challenge for SMEs and SMIs. This 7 million euro guarantee line aims to facilitate the development of international trade in this Central African country. It will allow the bank to cover the risks of non-payment on commercial transactions carried out by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as small and medium-sized industries (SMIs), thus strengthening their access to bank financing.

According to Coris bank, “this strategic partnership will facilitate the import of foodstuffs, goods and materials in order to further stimulate value creation at the national level and contribute strongly to meeting the essential needs of Chadian populations and businesses”.

As a reminder, this is the first time that Proparco has granted a guarantee line to the Chadian subsidiary of the Burkinabe group Coris Bank, founded and managed by Idrissa Nassa.
