After four months of suspension in Benin due to lack of authorization, the VTC company Yango can now resume its activities in the country. It is a very popular company in some African countries.

A service note dated 18 March signed by the Director of Land and Air Transport, Joseph Ahissou, confirms “a free hand on the suspension (...) following supporting documents provided”. The company in a statement announced in a statement: “Yango is strengthening its presence in Benin. The company is officially resuming its operations in Benin, after a successful collaboration with national authorities to align its services with local regulations and mobility goals.”

In reality, VTC Yango offers ordering services via an application, a car with driver. These services are booming in Africa, where public transport is often inadequate.

It should be noted that Yango had started its services in Benin in August 2024 but was suspended in early December, accused of operating without authorization.
