La World Bank has approved two loans for Benin worth an amount accumulated $180.7 million from the International Development Association (IDA). This funding is intended to improve land tenure security and strengthen the integrated management of classified forests

.

The first $100 million grant supports the land tenure management program. According to a press release from the Banque mondiale , it is a operation called Terra Benin, focused on performance (PforR in English). This program supports Benin's national land program by giving priority to the efficiency of land administration services and the simplification and acceleration of land registration.

The Terra Benin program will register land rights in 14 municipalities, covering 124 rural and urban districts in 11 departments and map approximately 1.5 million plots, of which 1 million will be registered through the use of more efficient technologies and procedures.

The second grant of $80.7 million supports the second phase of the Benin classified forests project. It aims to strengthen integrated and sustainable forest management through, in particular, the development of agroforestry, sustainable agricultural intensification, reforestation and maintenance work
