The Bank of Central African States (Beac), the issuing institution of Cemac countries, has published data according to which the outstanding amount of securities issued by the six CEMAC countries (Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon) Chad and CAR) on the money market reached 8451.8 billion CFA francs on 31 March 2025

The increase in the stock of securities, which corresponds to an increase of 12.3% on a monthly basis, is mainly driven by Gabon. This country was very dynamic on the market in March 2025, with an increase in the stock of its shares of 44.3% over a period of one month. It represented 29.9% of the overall stock of securities at the end of March 2025, compared to 29.7% and 20.8% respectively for Gabon and Cameroon. According to the Central Bank of CEMAC countries, the public securities market was also marked in March 2025 by an increase in the participation rate of SVTs (market intermediaries) in the issuance of Treasury securities, from 16.08% to 22.13% between February and March 2025. At the same time, a decrease in average interest rates is noted, from 8.20% in February 2025 to 7.58% at the end of March 2025
