Apart from allocating this amount to BoA, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security indicated that 200 billion naira will also be dedicated to improving food security and strengthening the capacities of producers on the national territory
.The government's latest announcement is part of a broader support for agriculture, renewed in the 2025 budget. For this fiscal year, the authorities decided to allocate a record budget of 2.23 trillion naira ($1.4 billion) to the agricultural sector, an increase of 123% compared to the amount spent a year earlier (996 billion naira) and more than five times the sum posted in 2023 (344.6 billion naira)
