The Banker, Financial Times Group, United Kingdom recently published the 2025 ranking of the world's top 1000 banks. Zenith Bank retained first place for the 16th year

In the 2025 ranking of the world's top 1,000 banks, Zenith Bank Plc maintained its position as the top bank in Nigeria in terms of Tier 1 capital for the sixteenth consecutive year. This ranking places Zenith Bank Plc 581st in the world, with Tier 1 capital of $2 billion. The global ranking was published in the July 2025 edition of The Banker, and is based on banks' Tier 1 capital at the end of 2024. It is the main basis for bank evaluations by most international organizations.
