A spokesperson for Shell's Nigerian subsidiary, SPDC announced on Saturday, November 26, 2022 that Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria (SPDC) has begun exporting limited quantities of oil from the Bonny terminal as it works to restore full pipeline production.

Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria cited a drop in flows to the export terminal due to crude theft and pipeline vandalism. He declared force majeure on Bonny Light crude oil exports in early March. According to the SPDC spokesperson in an email response to Reuters “while force majeure remains in place, a limited export program is in place from Bonny Terminal following ongoing efforts to reinstate pipeline-based production.”
