The opening of Glovo, the Spanish company specializing in distribution and delivery, took place on the evening of Wednesday, November 23, 2022 in M'Badon, in the town of Cocody (Abidjan), near the premises of the Chinese embassy. This company is now headquartered in Ivory Coast.

“Ivory Coast is a key market for us because of its high potential and rapid growth, and the partnerships we've established so far symbolize endless possibilities. We remain determined to offer more opportunities to the local ecosystem and the country's economy for the years to come,” said Christian Picard, CEO of the company. The implementation took place in the presence of the Spanish Ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire, Sem Rafael Soriano Ortiz, as well as several partners and actors from the company's ecosystem.

For Picard, these premises were designed not only to provide better comfort to the 36 permanent employees but also to support the expansion of the team. The company plans to double its Ivorian workforce by the end of 2023. It should be noted that Glovo has been in Côte d'Ivoire since 2019 and it operates in 6 major geographical areas, with around 2000 delivery people.
