Abidjan a servi de cadre pour le sixième congrès chartered accountants from the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) held on Thursday, September 26.

Based on the theme “accountants in the inclusive and sustainable development of SMEs”, the three-day conference brought together a hundred experts from UEMOA member countries as well as from Nigeria. This conference allowed participants to focus on their contributions to the sustainable development of SMEs as well as to the growth of the regional economy. It was a question for them to go beyond their traditional role and offer solutions adapted to the development needs of SMEs by focusing on modern practices. According to the secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Stéphane Akaya, “SMEs must be the engine of economic growth in our countries.”
