Afin de bien combattre la corruption, le President of the National Office for Combating Fraud and Corruption (OFNAC), Serigne Bassirou Guèye called for the pooling of the efforts and resources of the institutions concerned Feasts.

The president of OFNAC spoke at a workshop to “popularize” new laws modifying the law creating OFNAC and the law on the declaration of assets on Tuesday, in Dakar. He said that the judiciary and supervisory bodies, with the collaboration of OFNAC, have “a fundamental role to play in instilling fear in the camp of financial offenders, while thwarting their ploy by establishing a climate of mutual trust and genuine cooperation.” According to him, “the memoranda of understanding that OFNAC strives to conclude with certain supervisory bodies and bodies are precisely aimed at facilitating and formalizing this type of cooperation”. For the president, the role of supervisory bodies is “essential in the suppression of financial crime”. Serigne Bassirou Guèye points out that this role is “fundamental in the construction of an institutional and regulatory structure that is more dissuasive, more resilient and more proactive, in the face of the multiple forms of corruption that plague our economy and slow down our determined march towards emergence.
