Le siège de la Banque ECOWAS Investment and Development (BIDC) served as a framework on Thursday, October 31, 2024 in Lomé for a ceremony to launch the first bond listing “BIDC-EBID GSS 6.50% 2024-2031

The mission of the BIDC is to help create the conditions for the emergence of an economically strong, industrialized, prosperous and fully integrated West Africa, both internally and in relation to the global economic system. This mission to support sustainable development led the Bank to issue a bond entitled “BIDC-EBID GSS 6.50% 2024-2031”, certified green, social and sustainable (Green, Social and Sustainability Bonds-GSS) by the ISS Corporate Solutions agency. This loan is part of a wider financing program, intended to support projects that have a positive impact on sustainable development. The objective is to finance economic development projects in the UEMOA zone, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The loan also aims to promote post-COVID-19 economic recovery, by contributing to the creation of jobs and the reduction of poverty in the region.
