BT Payment is a subsidiary of global fintech aza Finance, and is responsible for the group's Nigerian corridor, helping businesses, fintechs, NGOs, and other organizations transact in Naira. Previously, it offered its fintech services through authorized Nigerian partners; now, it offers its customers in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, collection and payment services in naira. Likewise, the company will be able to offer them directly, thus offering even cheaper and faster rates to its customers who transact in Nigeria. According to the information, this license is the latest in a series granted to the AZA Finance Group since its creation over 11 years ago, and marks the first in a series of expansion announcements scheduled before the end of 2024.
It should be noted that AZA Finance is a global fintech specialized in payments and foreign exchange transactions. It was founded in Nairobi in 2013 and allows businesses around the world to exchange currencies, make payments, and make settlements easily in all major African and G20 currencies
