The Appeals Chamber of the Court for the Suppression of Economic Offences and Terrorism (CRIET) issued a new verdict on Monday, November 11, 2024 on the sentence imposed on a few members of Longrich in the “Cameo Shell” case.

Three persons considered to be responsible for Cameo Shell were sued by CRIET. Il s' agit de Liu Xuelian, personnel director of Longrich, an international company, and two Beninese people, namely Mongadiji Chaffara Saka, an accountant at Longrich, and Lionel Djondo, an active member of Cameo Shell. Sentenced in prison to 5 years in prison and to a fine of 5 million FCFA for “complicity in fraud via the Internet”, these defendants saw their sentence reduced to 2 years in prison. It should be noted that the former verdict was delivered on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 by the Criet Judgement Chamber
