La Directorate-General of Customs (DGD) has officially launched the Electronic Consumer Certificate (e-CMC) platform. It was Monday, November 18, 2024 in Ouagadougou

.

The electronic Consumer Certificate platform replaces the old vulnerable system for manual processing and physical transmission of parts to the DGTTM, in order to register vehicles, including two-wheeled vehicles. The new device was tested during the launch in the presence of media men and officials through a demonstration session. Now, all information relating to vehicles to be driven in Burkina Faso is scanned, secured with a QR code and transmitted electronically to the DGTTM for further action. The procedure involves three major players. First, a customs declarant connects to the system to make his declaration and completes his task with the liquidation request that corresponds to the registration of the declaration. Then, a verifier to whom the statement is assigned connects to the system, retrieves the return, processes it, processes it, and generates the CMC by signing it. Then the office manager also counter-signs online before printing
